Description
The New Jersey Institute for Disabilities (NJID) is one of the largest not-for-profit agencies of its kind in the nation. It provides services to infants, children, and adults with developmental and related disabilities. NJID offers specialized facilities, programs, and support throughout New Jersey. We are recruiting for
an Individual Support Worker (ISW) in our Adult Community Support Services Program in Edison, Woodbridge, and Monmouth Junction, NJ. Qualified candidates will identify various available services and develop support systems to meet client needs. This position requires significant travel. 

Job Responsibilities of an ISW
:
 
  • Accompanies clients to doctor's appointments
  • Assists with meal preparation
  • Light housekeeping
  • Assists with running errands
  • Assists with activities of daily living (may be required)

Job Requirements:
 
  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • A valid driver's license must be insurable under NJID's automobile insurance.
  • Experience supporting individuals with intellectual, developmental, and related disabilities
  • Strong communication skills
NO certification required  

Position Details:

Location: Edison, Woodbridge & Monmouth Junction        County: Middlesex

Hours Per Work Week: 30                    Weekly Work Schedule: Tues.-Fri. 2 pm-8 pm & Sat. 10 am-4 pm                       


Other shifts are available at this location.

NJID has full-time, part-time, and per diem opportunities in Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, and Somerset Counties.
