We are currently recruiting for a Teacher of Computer/Media Arts to work with students with developmental and related disabilities aged 3-21 years at our Lakeview School located in Edison, NJ.
Job Responsibilities of a Teacher of Computer/Media Arts include:
- Provide instruction in media arts through the National Visual Arts Standard and the New Jersey Student Learning Standards for Visual and Performing Arts.
- Provide instruction in technological literacy in compliance with Core Curriculum Content Standards.
Job Requirements:
- BA or BS degree in Special Education or a related field from an accredited institution (master’s degree preferred); in addition to a BA of Fine Arts or similar.
- Three years’ teaching experience with regular elementary or special education.
- Must have knowledge of elementary (K-5) curriculum.
- Knowledge and skill in the use of specialized and regular K-12 software programs and adaptive computer technology.
- NJ DOE certification as a Teacher of Students with Disabilities or Teacher of Handicapped.
- NJ DOE certification as Elementary School Teacher K-5.

Hours Per Work Week: 35 Weekly Work Schedule: Mon - Fri 8:30 am - 4 pm
