We are recruiting for
an Individual Support Worker (Personal Aide/Companion) in our Adult Community Support Services Program in Edison & Woodbridge, NJ. Qualified candidates will identify various available services and develop support systems to meet client needs. There is a significant amount of travel required for this position.

Job Responsibilities of an ISW
:
 
  • Accompanies clients to doctor's appointments
  • Assists with meal preparation
  • Light housekeeping
  • Assists with running errands
  • Recreational activities
  • Assists with activities of daily living (may be required)

Job Requirements:
 
  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • A valid driver's license and must be insurable under NJID's automobile insurance
  • Experience supporting individuals with intellectual, developmental, and related disabilities
  • Strong communication skills

NO certification required  

NJID has full-time, part-time, and per diem opportunities in Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, and Somerset Counties.

Location: Edison & Woodbridge                               County: Middlesex

Hours Per Work Week: 20                                        Weekly Work Schedule: Fridays 2 pm-7 pm and flexible other days
